Installing ArcReader
To install ArcReader on your computer, follow the instructions below:

  • Download ESRI ArcReader (108 mb)
  • Double-click ArcReader91.exe to install the software; and
  • Follow the instructions provided.

How to Use ArcReader
ArcReader has been designed to function in the same way as a basic GIS software package. If you are familiar with GIS software, many of the buttons and controls will be familiar. If you are not familiar with GIS, a PDF document of ArcReader instructions is provided on this website. It is advisable to read these instructions thoroughly before opening and using the software.

This document uses data stored in ArcreaderQuick-startTutorialData.zip (30 mb).

Note, the Earth Observation and Geographic Information Toolkit was originally developed as a CD-ROM. If you would like a copy of the CD-ROM, please contact the Green Corridor Project.

 

 
Staff from the Forest Protection Department, Forest Inventory and Planning Group, Forest Inventory and Planning Sub-Institute conduct a field survey. The data collected were used as part of the production of a new forest map based on satellite imagery.
