Kam’mwamba AIDS Supportive, Orphan Care and Community Development Organisation, (KASOCO), is a community based organization formed in November 2004 in order to respond to HIV-AIDS pandemic in Malawi. KASOCO was registered on 17 October 2005 at the Ntcheu District Welfare Office. In the initiation of its work, KASOCO focused on Group Village Headmen Kam’mwamba I and II, in Traditional Authority Phambala, in Ntcheu District of Malawi. This stage covered 30 villages comprising Group Village Headmen Kam’mwamba I and II. Within the year of its creation, KASOCO was obliged to expand its outreach to the whole area of TA Phambala.
